Summary/Objective

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing overall leadership in safety, quality, productivity, and accountability to the Business Unit. In addition to leading the Operation's staff (Team Leads, Operations, Maintenance) The In-Plant Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring RGL's Values are instilled in the business unit and being lived out every day. They are also responsible for creating a high-performance work environment where teammates are safe, healthy, and fulfilled.

Mainly be responsible for:

  • Ensures RGL's Values are instilled in the business unit and are being lived out every day.
  • Responsible for all shift operations and is available in person or by cell phone during off hours as needed.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and administering standards and procedures to comply with RGL and legal expectations.
  • Partners with Human Resources in the selection, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching of employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; executing compensation actions; ensuring our values, policies and procedures are followed; and coordinating resolution of employee concerns.
  • Achieves operational objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing safety, quality or productivity, and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; and drives continuous improvement.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; verifying expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and managing KPI's.
  • Improves operations systems by developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product; equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping.
  • Coaches teammates for optimal performance through respectful, effective communication. Supports Team Leaders through coaching and performance improvement steps as needed.
  • Investigates and follows up with staff on Operational, Transportation, Inventory Control, and customer service issues and documentation.
  • Responsible for material handling equipment and monitor per OSHA standards.
  • Supervisor responsibility Team Leads; Operations; Maintenance
  • Any other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related area and 3+ years direct leadership experience or 5+ years of direct warehousing/in-plant leadership experience.
  • Successful experience in supervising people and coaching for performance.
  • Business acumen understand RGL's different business units and how they work together for synergy; understand system wide impact of a decision.
  • Autonomy/Vision ability to create a vision for the team and communicate it clearly and with passion.
  • Influence ability to direct, motivate and positively persuade others through Servant Leadership.
  • Listening Skills Offer full attention and actively listen to teammates for understanding to improve/enhance work atmosphere.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
