RGL Logistics, the company that helps reinvent logistics by asking 'WHAT IF' to come up with creative solutions that simplify, improve and slash waste, is looking for a General Manager for our In-Plant location.

The General Manager (GM) will provide overall leadership to multi-site business units in Appleton and Green Bay, ensuring RGL's values and servant leadership culture are being lived out daily. The GM is also responsible for developing and maintaining processes to improve or enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost functions, as well as for building high-performance work teams where teammates feel safe, healthy, and fulfilled. The GM will also have profit and loss accountability for the assigned business units.

Mainly be responsible for:

  • Accountable for building and enhancing RGL's customer relationship
  • Lead the creation and ongoing improvement of a safety culture and positive work environment with a focus on continuous improvement, consistent with the RGL Values
  • Lead the creation of a team culture which results in consistently exceeding the expectations of our customer
  • Provide appropriate communication and motivation techniques in inspiring, coaching, counseling and developing team members
  • Achieves operation objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing safety, quality, productivity and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends to improve.
  • Responsible for financial results by managing KPI's, expenses, forecasting requirements, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
  • Improves operations systems by developing, implementing, administering and evaluating policies and procedures. Develops and implements processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, shipping, labor management and productivity standards
  • Communicates in a professional manner to all stakeholders

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related area and 5+ years direct management experience, preferably in continuous manufacturing environment with material handling responsibilities.
  • Strong customer focus, with ability to manage customer expectations.
  • Successful experience in leading people and coaching for performance.
  • Business acumen - understand RGL's different business units and how they work together for synergy; understand system wide impact of a decision.
  • Autonomy/Vision - ability to create a vision for the team and communicate it clearly and with influence and transparency.
  • Influence - ability to direct, motivate and positively persuade others through Servant Leadership.
  • Listening Skills - Offer full attention and actively listen to employees for understanding to improve/enhance work atmosphere.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
